It is not necessary to play Batman Arkham Origins before Arkham Asylum as the two games are not directly connected in terms of story. Arkham Asylum is the first game in the series and provides the foundation for the rest of the games, including Arkham Origins. However, playing Arkham Origins first may provide some context and background for the character of Batman and the world he inhabits. Ultimately, it is up to personal preference and playing either game first will not significantly impact the overall experience. **

In this ending, Batman is seen carrying the Joker's body out of the crematorium, indicating that the Joker may still be alive within Batman's mind. This alternative ending adds an intriguing twist to the game's storyline and leaves players with a thought-provoking conclusion to the game. **

It ultimately depends on your personal preferences. If you enjoy a more linear, story-driven experience with a focus on exploration and puzzle-solving, then playing Batman Arkham Asylum 100% may be the better choice for you. However, if you prefer a more open-world, sandbox-style game with a larger map to explore and more side missions and activities, then Arkham City may be the better option. Consider what type of gameplay experience you prefer and choose the game that aligns with your preferences. **
